about US
Our Mission
We're determined to make data a delicious experience.
GenAI is an opportunity to automate the technical tedium, so we can all spend more time on the good stuff.
Our Team
Our founding team comprises decades of leadership experience in both scrappy startups and Fortune 100 companies.
Paul is a creative business leader and occasional hacker, whose career has spanned finance and technology. He led the Capital One Innovation Lab in San Francisco, where his organization focused on monetizing the firm's wealth of transaction data in the marketing and business intelligence space.
Paul began his career in investment banking and then trading at Goldman Sachs, which explains why he also spends a lot of his spare time building ML trading algorithms (that may or may not be generating oodles of alpha).
More recently, as a hands-on passion project, Paul built the Sceen mobile app, focused on live event management. He's also dabbled in independent film production.
Paul holds an AB in neuroscience from Harvard and an MBA from INSEAD.
Rob is a polymath whose educational and professional careers have allowed him to indulge in his principal joys: learning about the world, and enabling progress through marvelous tech.
Rob received an AB from Harvard and Master’s from Cambridge — both in math, a Master’s in Economics from GMU, and a JD from NYU. As a lawyer, he has aided public- and private-sector internal investigations and authored economic analyses of financial regulations. In tech, Rob’s mobile app startup was awarded Grand Prize in Google's Android Developer Challenge.
Rob currently lives in the Atlanta metro area with his wife and two children.
Rudy is an inventive, hands-on leader with a proven track record of leading teams to productize first-of-a-kind hardware and software. He’s built world-class engineering and product teams at several companies, while also staying close to the research, with over 53 issued patents.
He most recently led product development at Deepcell, a flow cytometer that used AI to classify cells based on appearance alone. Before that, he oversaw the technology roadmap at JUUL Labs, where he guided a group of 80 scientists and engineers. Previously, Rudy has also served as the CEO of H2Optx, a microscopy platform startup for pharma, and as the CTO for C8MediSensors, where he oversaw development of the world's smallest continuous glucose monitor.
Rudy holds a Ph.D. and bachelor’s degree in physics from the California Institute of Technology. He currently lives in San Jose with his wife and two children.
Dean is a veteran engineering leader, specializing in data architecture, platform, and ML systems. He built from zero the data engineering competency at Skillz, as the company went public. He also created a platform that drove over $10M in quarterly revenue and implemented machine learning pipelines to slash costs.
Most recently, Dean developed high-efficiency distributed systems at US Bank, leading to a 90% increase in production stability. He has also innovated products and scaled teams at Capital One (where he first worked with Paul) and HP.
Dean holds a masters in computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon and a dual BS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from WPI. For his newest challenge, he recently completed the SF half-marathon and has set his sights on ever greater distances.
